Coach Steve Komphela has decided to give Keagan Buchanan his third start since the midfielder joined Amakhosi at the beginning of the season.

Buchanan made his Kaizer Chiefs debut in the starting XI in the Soweto Derby on 29 October 2016. The 26-year-old also started in the goalless draw against Baroka FC a week later, but thereafter he hasn’t featured much. Today will be an opportunity for the midfielder to show his class.

Another player who is getting a start against Polokwane City in tonight’s Absa Premiership match is George Lebese, who replaces Edmore Chirambadare.

Not in the team is Siphiwe Tshabalala, who is still out with a light muscle strain.

Another who is absent is Willard Katsande. The Zimbabwean is suspended due to having collected four yellow cards.

Joseph Molangoane, however, returns from suspension and is in the starting line-up.

Kaizer Chiefs face Polokwane City tonight in a league clash at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium (kick-off is at 18:00).

The clash will be refereed by Kulasande Qongqo.
