After a Covid-enforced three-year hiatus, Kaizer Chiefs are eagerly looking forward to the long-awaited return to their home away from home, Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban, when they host Richards Bay F.C. on Saturday evening, 20 August.

The mighty Amakhosi last played a home match at the venue back in December 2019 and fans will be anticipating a similar experience to the epic 5-3 victory over now-defunct Bloemfontein Celtic when Arthur Zwane’s new-look outfit take the field at what has become a happy hunting ground for Chiefs, due in no small measure to the contribution of the vociferously inspirational fanbase.

The Club’s Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung expressed her happiness at the upcoming event: “We are overjoyed to be coming back to our second home after such a long absence,” she says. “It was a delight to see so many of our supporters come to Chatsworth for the season’s opening game against Royal AM.

“We have really missed the wonderful atmosphere created during our Durban home games and can’t wait to reunite with them at a packed Moses Mabhida stadium. We call on all our fans to turn out in huge numbers and recreate the incredible vibe that we get whenever we play a home game at Moses Mabhida. Get your tickets early and we’ll see you there!”

The match kicks off at 20h00 at Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban on Saturday 20 August.
