Al-Ahly of Egypt will host Mandela Cup champions Kaizer Chiefs on March 15 in the African Super Cup, organisers confirmed on Sunday.
An annual event since 1993, it brings together the winners of the African Champions League and the African Cup Winners Cup in a game at a venue chosen by the champions.
Al-Ahly defeated another South African club, Sundowns, 4-1 on aggregate in the Champions League while Chiefs edged InterClube of Angola 2-1 to lift the Cup Winners Cup.
Zamalek of Egypt have won the Super Cup twice and Africa Sports and ASEC of Ivory Coast, Esperance and Etoile Sahel of Tunisia, Orlando Pirates of South Africa, Raja Casablanca of Morocco and Hearts of Oak of Ghana once each.
