Birch Acres Mall, which is situated in one of Gauteng’s biggest townships, Tembisa, will be a hive of activity on Friday when Amakhosi and Vodacom visit the popular shopping centre for an epic activation ahead of the big Nedbank Cup semifinal Soweto Derby, featuring Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
This roadshow in Tembisa is a chance for Chiefs supporters to win tickets to the big match on Saturday, as well as other merchandise. Those in attendance at the Birch Acres Mall will also get to engage with some of the players, who will be in attendance. There will also be a chance for supporters coming from different places for the match to interact with each other.
Supporters will have an opportunity to interact with some of Kaizer Chiefs’ players, collect autographs and have pictures taken with their ‘faves’. In addition, there are also fantastic prizes to be won, including airtime, jerseys, smartphones and tickets, for fans participating in some of the entertaining activities on the day.
The KC Mobile Starter Pack will be available and our sales agents will be on hand to ensure that supporters who connect to KC Mobile and recharge are in line to win some of the great prizes. The big prize for the season will be a Toyota Corolla Cross for those who connect and recharge for a minimum of R29 per month for three months. The winner of the Toyota Corolla Cross will be announced in September, but the competition closes at the end of May.
“We encourage all our supporters to gather in Tembisa and create a vibe ahead of the Soweto Derby,” says Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung. “Those who want to buy merchandise will be helped at the roadshow, as our store at the Village is going through a revamp.
“With the game expected to be a sold-out affair, we encourage supporters to go the stadium early on Saturday to avoid congestion and delays,” she added.
The roadshow will be part of the build-up to Amakhosi welcoming Orlando Pirates for the big Soweto Derby at the stomping ground, FNB Stadium on Saturday. The two teams will commence battle in the all-important Nedbank Cup semi-final at 15:00.
Tickets for the match are still available from www.ticketpros.co.za, Spar Supermarkets, Postnet at R100 per ticket.
