Chiefs trio in Bafana mix for Saudi clash

Kaizer Chiefs midfielders Jabu Pule and Arthur Zwane together with defender Cyril Nzama, all currently with the team in Cairo for the Super Cup clash, were included in the 23-man Bafana Bafana squad for the international friendly against Saudi Arabia next Wednesday in Italy.

The squad is comprised mainly of locally-based players with only three from overseas clubs.

Former national under-23 goalkeeper Emile Baron received his first national call up when he was included in the 23-man squad.

Holland-based midfielder Steven Pienaar, who was man of the match over the weekend when Ajax Amsterdam hammered De Graafschap 4-0 in a Dutch league match, also got his first senior national call. Speedy midfielder McDonald Mukansi, who is based in Bulgaria, also got the nod.

Pirates), Brett Evans (Ajax Cape Town).

Midfielders: Thabo Mngomeni (Orlando Pirates), MacBerth Sibaya

(Jomo Cosmos), Bheka Phakathi (Lamontville Golden Arrows), Steven

Pienaar (Ajax Amsterdam), Benedict Vilakazi (Orlando Pirates),

McDonald Mukansi (Bulgaria), Arthur Zwane (Kaizer Chiefs), Jabu Pule

(Kaizer Chiefs), Josta Dladla (Wits University), Clement Mazibuko
