A total of eight Kaizer Chiefs players will be on national duty during the month on September and this could mean further postponements to Amakhosi fixtures.

Attacking midfielder Lucky Maselesele and striker Phumlani Mkhize have been called up for the four-nations tournament in Iran for Bafana Bafana’s preparations ahead of the Cosafa Cup final.

Five more players Brian Baloyi, Cyril Nzama, Patrick Mbuthu, Stanton Fredericks and David Kannemeyer were called up for the two-legged Cosafa Cup final on September 28.

There was no place for midfield sensation Jabu Pule who missed the flight to Ivory Coast for the African Nations Cup qualifier this weekend.

The eighth Amakhosi player, defender Patrick Mabedi will be on the Malawi side as the two countries fight for regional domination.
