Just three days after an exciting and sold-out Soweto Derby clash that took place on Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs will be back at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday to welcome AmaZulu FC in their next Betway Premiership match, which is the Club’s first clash of the second round of the season.
Amakhosi wrapped up the first round of league matches with Africa’s biggest match, where they lost 1-0 after referee Masixole Bambiso awarded a highly contentious penalty to Orlando Pirates three minutes into stoppage time of the Soweto Derby.
The visitors, AmaZulu, co-coached by former Chiefs coach, Arthur Zwane, are beaming after beating SuperSport United 2-1 in Durban on Saturday night.
The results see Amakhosi remain in fifth position with 21 points from 15 matches. AmaZulu, who have played the same number of matches as Chiefs are ninth on the log with 19 points in the bag.
Coach Nasreddine Nabi will be expected to make more changes to his team with Njabulo Blom suspended after collecting his fourth booking of the season.
Chiefs supporters will be hoping to see more from their new recruits, Thabo Cele and Glody Lilepo, who got a run in the second half of the Derby. The coach will also decide if Tashreeq Morris will be in the team after missing the game against Pirates through suspension.
Amakhosi are looking forward to making it six points against Usuthu this season after they beat AmaZulu 3-1 in Durban in the first round back in September.
Tickets for this interesting encounter between The Glamour Boys and Usuthu are available at TicketPro outlets and online at www.ticketpros.co.za, including Spar and Boxer supermarkets, as well as various filling stations at an affordable R60 per ticket.
The match will kick-off is at 19:30 on Tuesday at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
