The players look fresh - Zwane

Amakhosi Head Coach, Arthur Zwane spoke to www.kaizerchiefs.com ahead of their trip to Durban for Saturday afternoon’s DStv Premiership clash against Lamontville Golden Arrows at the Moses Mabhida stadium, kicking off at 15:30.

How have final preparations been going?

Today’s session was matchday minus one and we first had to see who is and isn’t available and assess the sharpness of the players, as we haven’t played competitive football for some time now. The players look fresh and okay and we hope that we can take what we saw today in training onto the field tomorrow.

Any surprise elements, like say, fielding a youngster?

We have got a few challenges here and there but, for me, there are no challenges because we are coaches and we have players, and we have the belief that they have got the ability to play for a team of Kaizer Chiefs’ calibre. Regarding the pressure, it is a case of adaptation for them. We are happy Mduduzi (Shabalala) is available. Wandile Duba and Samkelo Zwane are also in contention so it’s up to us, as the technical team, to decide who we think is ready to be in the starting XI or to come on and make an impact from the bench.
