Dipico - who attended the rained off Coca-Cola Cup semifinal against Wits on Saturday - remained in Joburg for the replay and was on Wednesday issued with his Gold Membership card. North West Premier Popo Molefe recently registered as a Gold Card holder.
"It is imperative that we also embrace high profile people. In other words, the supporters club must go to the lowest and to the highest. Many of the celebrities, VIPs, high government officials, musicians and other sporting personalities have come up to register,” said club PRO Putco Mafani.
National cricketer Makhaya Ntini and boxer Philip Ndou are some of the high profile celebrities who are expected at the Chiefs Village sometime this week to register as a supporter.
"We are calling upon all high profile people who love Kaizer Chiefs to come and register because our ultimate goal is to develop a high profile elite league of supporters," said Mafani. "We want to finalise preparations for such a venture by the end of the season so that we can be able to launch a Platinum Card by the beginning of next season."
