John "Shoes" Moshoeu, arguably the most celebrated Kaizer Chiefs midfielder currently, broke his nose during the exciting League clash with Moroka Swallows at the Rand Stadium recently.

Moshoeu is to undergo an operation on his nose on Wednesday, 28th May 2003 at the Rosebank Clinic. He missed the trip to Port Elizabeth when his teammates traveled to meet Bush Bucks in a game that saw the Imbabala bow out of the Premier division.

Prayers and support are solicited from all supporters of the club, as Shoes will be going to surgery.

Moshoeu will be able to rest and recover conveniently, as the Amakhosi players have gone home for the winter break. Club Management is busy with discussions about a new contract with South Africa's former dribbling wizard and goal scorer.

Shoes re-joined the club on the 30th October 2002 and has, been an inspiration to the youngsters at the Kaizer Chiefs camp, winning 'man-of-the-match' awards, scoring vital goals and creating many other celebrated goals for the club.
