Kaizer Chiefs Reserves will take on SuperSport United Reserves in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge (MDC) finale weekend. The match is scheduled to take place at the Sinaba Stadium on Sunday, 26 February (kick-off is at 10:00).

Chiefs Reserves narrowly missed out on going into this final round of Asidlali fixtures with a chance to clinch the title.

However, pride will be at stake for Amakhosi, who are occupying fourth position on the log with 25 points; six points shy of the title chasers Mamelodi Sundowns. Coach Arthur Zwane will be looking at the weekend with mixed feelings, even though the young Glamour Boys showed much improvement this season.

“We have learnt the hard way,” Zwane reacts on the numerous draws this season that should have been wins. “But we gained a lot of experience, which will help us to do even better next season.”

About Sunday’s clash against Matsatsantsa, Zwane comments: “We will bring our A-game against SuperSport United. We are representing the Chiefs badge and every time we walk on the pitch we are mindful of the aspirations of our supporters. Our approach against SuperSport will be as professional as always.”

Matsatsantsa go into this MDC fixture occupying the opposite end of the log, as they are in 15th spot on the standings with only six points recorded after 14 matches.

The game will take place as part of the Sinaba Stadium Asidlali Festival where Sundowns Reserves will tackle Cape Town City Reserves at 12:00.

Entrance is free. Matches will be broadcast live on SS4.
