The vital goal was scored by Kenneth Motshumi who hammered the ball past Chiefs goalkeeper Brian Baloyi in the 65th minute.
They share the same number of points with Moroka Swallows, both clubs on 37 points, though Dynamos have played a match more than the Dube Birds.
It has been a great season for the Giyani based club who were promoted at the start of the season, and have been amongst the front runners for most of the season,as they continually thwart the big guns.
It was also sweet revenge for Dynamos as in the first round clash they were unlucky when they were sunk by an own goal, the ball rebounding off the bar, and going in off their goalkeeper’s head.
While it is unlikely they will win the title, they have certainly made their mark in their first season in the Premier Soccer League (PSL). And they were full value for their victory, as they made life difficult for Chiefs from the outset, and deserved the three points.
They took their chance when it mattered, and though Chiefs had their chances, they were unable to convert them. In the 80th minute, with only the Dynamos goalkeeper Aime Kitenge to beat, Chiefs striker Kabamba Musasa missed a good chance, which would have secured his team at least a point on the day.
The stifling heat certainly made life difficult for Chiefs, and Amakhosi were not able to get going.
It was Motshumi’s first goal of the season, while Dynamos continued their good run, and have now only lost two of their last 10 matches, great going for a side that does not even have a sponsor.
