“If rain is a blessing then the Kaizer Chiefs Supporters Club meeting in Mpumalanga’s Embalenhle was well and truly blessed,” says Amakhosi Supporters Relationship Manager Tracy Williams.

The meeting, held at the K.I. Twala Secondary School, was not only well attended by passionate members from the local branch, but also by other branches, including from surrounding areas like Kinross, Secunda and Bethal.

The meeting was used to discuss some imperative points such as the attendance of home games and to keep up to date with what is happening at the Club via Facebook, Twitter, the website and the Amakhosi Magazine.

Williams also updated the Chiefs supporters on the progress of the membership card, referring as well to the March edition of the Amakhosi Magazine. She also spoke about how important it is for the branch to organise their regional/cluster and provincial structures as this is going to be critical come the launching of the rejuvenated Supporters Club.

The upcoming Derby was, obviously, the most anticipated topic. Supporters indicated being excited about the Orlando Pirates game and they plan to come in numbers.

“Make sure you buy your tickets as soon as possible,” was Williams’ sound advice. “I also recommend that you get a parking ticket at Computicket.”

She elaborated as well about the various festivities that are planned for the Village on 6 and 7 March, including a live broadcast by Ukhosi FM on Friday. Williams furthermore spoke about the importance of getting to the stadium early and reminded the supporters not to take food into the stadium: “There are lots of options offered by the stadium.”

Chiefs’ Supporters Relationship Manager concluded by saying that when branches arrive at the stadium to “please hold the flags up high with pride. Also, sing, dance and show your opponents that Amakhosi are strong and united!”
