All Premier Soccer League matches sheduled this weekend have been indefinitely postponed in the wake of Wednesday's stampede tradegy at Ellis Park Stadium.

Sunday's Mandela Cup first-round second-leg fixture between Kaizer

Chiefs and Tamponnaise of Reunion -- pencilled in for Ellis Park --

has also been called off until further notice.

However, the Vodacom Cup rugby match between the Lions, whose home

ground is Ellis Park, and Western Province will go ahead at 3pm on

Saturday.

Andrew Dipela, PSL spokesman, on Thursday confirmed the

postponements after the PSL met with officials from the South

African Football Association, representatives from Orlando Pirates

FC and Kaizer Chiefs, the Ellis Park stadium management and Gauteng

Police Commissioner Sharma Maharaj.

Sports Minister Ncgonde Balfour did not attend meeting as he was in

East London. He was represented by Graham Abrahams until his

arrival shortly after 12.30pm.

Balfour was scheduled to address the media.

Two boys were among 43 people killed in a stampede at the stadium

when about 60000 eager soccer fans tried to storm their way into

the capacity-filled 65000-seater to watch a league match between

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

Postponed PSL matches:

Saturday: Free State Stars v Bush Bucks, Classic v Golden Arrows;

Sunday: Moroka Swallows v Supersport, African Wanderers v Hellenic,

Jomo Cosmos v Orlando Pirates.
