“Who is that?”, some might ask. However, the Amakhosi fans who have closely followed the reserve side’s performances in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge (MDC) will know exactly who he is. That’s because the goalkeeper had a great season in the PSL’s reserve league.
Bvuma kept goal in 12 of the 15 MDC matches this season. The Glamour Boys finished in fourth spot on the log, sixth points behind winners Mamelodi Sundowns.
Bvuma is 21-year-old and is born in Leratong, Gauteng. His nickname is Garfield.
The talented young keeper comes highly rated. He’s athletic, brave and is not afraid to come out of goal for high crosses pumped into the box from the flank.
His inspiration is one of the goalkeeper coaches at Chiefs’ youth development, Rory Minnaar.
Bvuma comes into this evening’s Amakhosi squad, because of Brilliant Khuzwayo’s ankle injury and Luthando Sixhaso’s family bereavement.
