Kaizer Chiefs is once again supporting and endorsing an African directed movie, 'Yellow Card', which will be screened at selected Ster-Kinekor theatres throughout South Africa, at the end of this month.

The movie is about a youngster that strives to become a soccer star but that has to face the difficulties of life and of the youth of today (HIV/Aids, teenage pregnancy, drugs and etc).

On Monday, 10 lucky winners from around Gauteng had a chance to see the special screening of “Yellow Card” together with their favourite Kaizer Chiefs players.

The evening started with dinner, which was, arrange by Ster-Kinekor at the Ciao Baby restaurant in Sandton. Where the 10 competition winners signed autographs, mingled and took photos with their Kaizer Chiefs stars. Y-FM DJs Andile and Shabba were also there to entertain everyone.

The movie was very entertaining and the players really enjoyed themselves. "The movie had a good mix of humour and serious issues with soccer as the common link between them. Yellow card is very realistic and relevant to the South African population. Its worth watching!" said captain Brian Baloyi.

"Big ups to the producers who have proved that African movies can stand tall in the International stage," said Stanton "Stigga" Fredericks.

Overall, it was a fun-filled evening coupled with a wonderful movie. Kaizer Chiefs would like to thank Ster-Kinekor, in particular Alice Makamu, for this great initiative that not only brought Chiefs and supporters together, but especially for promoting successful African projects like this one.
