Amakhosi coach Stuart Baxter will lead Kaizer Chiefs into a match for the 132nd time in all competitions, when they host Royal AM in a DStv Premiership game at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.

Chiefs have scored 199 goals in the 131 games Baxter has been at the helm of the club in his two spells and the race is now on to see who will grab the goal for Chiefs that will see them score the 200th goal with Baxter in the dugout.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane was the first Chiefs player to score a goal for Chiefs with Baxter as their coach in the Englishman’s first ever game in charge of the club, an MTN 8 Quarterfinal clash on 5 August 2012 against Mamelodi Sundowns. With Chiefs already 4-0 down, Letsholonyane scored in the 76th minute to make the score 4-1.

While Chiefs lost that game, in their next fixture – their first league game of the 2012-13 season – they defeated Amazulu 6-0, with Bernard Parker netting four goals to become the first Chiefs player with Baxter in charge to net a hattrick in an official game.

Parker leads the stats, having scored 34 goals of the 199 that Chiefs have netted with Baxter as their coach. No other player has scored more for Chiefs with Baxter on the bench.

Will it be Parker or another of his teammates who will score Chiefs’ next goal and set them on their way to victory, as well as set another important marker.
