We request all our supporters who will come to Saturday’s Derby with their vehicle to buy parking tickets at Computicket or Shoprite/Checkers. There will also be parking tickets sold at designated areas at FNB Stadium. Please do not park with the illegal parking guards as the safety of your car can’t be guaranteed there.
Metrorail Gauteng Province has prepared the train services for the Soweto Derby taking place at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 3 March 2018.
Two trains will provide a shuttle service between Johannesburg Park Station and Nasrec Station, as per below train schedule.
JOHANNESBURG - NASREC (Shuttle - 1)
Departure from Johannesburg Park Station is 13:00 & arrival times at Nasrec is 13:40
JOHANNESBURG - NASREC (Shuttle - 2)
Departure from Johannesburg Park Station at 13:50 & arrival times at Nasrec is 14:30
NASREC - JOHANNESBURG (Shuttle - 1)
After the final whistle:
Departure from Nasrec is at 18:00 & arrival time at Johannesburg Park Station is 18:40
NASREC - JOHANNESBURG (Shuttle - 2)
Departure from Nasrec is at 18:45 & arrival times at Johannesburg Park Station at 19:25
Rea Vaya will be operating a service to transport fans to and from the stadium. The bus service will be operated from Rea Vaya stations along the Rea Vaya phase 1A and phase 1B route to the FNB Stadium.
The frequency of the T1 service will be stepped up from the normal service to 5 minutes, from Thokoza Park (Soweto bound fans) and Ellis Park (CBD bound fans). T3 from Library Gardens East will be running a normal service at a frequency of 15 minutes. Fans will be dropped off and picked up at the Soccer City Rea Vaya Station after the match
To Soccer City from: Ellis Park at 12:00; Thokoza Park at 11:00 and C1 Dobsonville at 12:00
From Soccer City: Ellis Park at 17:00; Library Gardens at 17:00 and Thokoza Park at 17:00
