After a challenging weekend in Durban, Kaizer Chiefs are back home to prepare for another tough encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday at FNB Stadium.
Amakhosi will want to turn the corner and close the points gap when they welcome the league leaders to their “fortress” for this much anticipated DStv Premiership match.
Meanwhile Sundowns, who were in action on Monday evening against SuperSport United, will want to fortify their position at the summit of the log with a win.
Chiefs are still 4th on the log after 16 games and Sundowns are atop the DStv Premiership after 17 games.
When it comes head-to-head, the two sides have met 53 times since the PSL’s formation in 1996/7. Chiefs hold the upper hand after having beaten Sundowns on 21 occasions (which is more than any other team in history). Sundowns have only managed 17 league wins over the Glamour Boys. There have been 15 draws between the two sides.
Tickets for this humdinger are already on sale through www.ticketpros.co.za and various outlets including Postnet, Sasol, Spar and Boxer supermarkets, at R60 per ticket.
There will be a dedicated sitting area for parents who want to attend the game with their young ones, known as the Family Zone. It has a specially demarcated access gate (Gate A, Turnstile 1) and parking area. The Family Zone accommodates parents with children who are under 12 years old (children must be accompanied by parents). The packages are priced as follows:
- Family Pack 2 at R220 – one adult ticket and one kiddies ticket, 2 x soft drinks or water and parking
