As year-end approaches, Kaizer Chiefs will play their final home game of 2023 against Richards Bay FC on Saturday, 23 December at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
For Amakhosi and the Natal Rich Boys, this clash will wrap up the first round of matches in the 2023/24 DStv Premiership, their 15th match of the current season.
From their previous 14 matches, Chiefs have managed to collect 20 points, which have put them in 6th position on the log. Richards Bay, on the other hand, are 15th with 10 points in the kitty.
Chiefs will go into the match on the back of two consecutive wins, after beating both Swallows and Polokwane City 1-0 away from home in the past few weeks. Richards Bay lost the KwaZulu-Natal derby, 3-2, against Royal AM on 10 December.
Amakhosi coach, Cavin Johnson will be assessing some of his previously injured players who have since resumed training with the team, including Ashley Du Preez and Siyethemba Sithebe. However, players such as Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Itumeleng Khune and Keagan Dolly are still unavailable.
The Club has called on all the supporters in Gauteng to come out in numbers and attend the last home match of the year at FNB Stadium wearing their colours.
Tickets for the match are available online through www.ticketpros.co.za or Ticket Pro outlets, Spar and Boxer Supermarkets, Postnet as well as Sasol and Shell garages at R60 per ticket.
The match kicks off at 15:30 on Saturday at FNB Stadium in Nasrec, South of Johannesburg.
