Kaizer Chiefs’ Under-19s side continues with their impressive run, still on top of the SAB League standings, Johannesburg Region.
The talented side beat Porto FC 2-1 last weekend, thanks to goals from attacking midfielder Tshepo Motlala and striker Sibusiso Milazi.
Amakhosi’s nearest rivals Orlando Pirates dropped two points.
The young Glamour Boys have now collected 47 points from 19 matches, while scoring a remarkable 48 goals and conceding only 10. The Buccaneers are two points behind in second position and the University of Johannesburg are in third position having 42 points.
Chiefs’ Under-19s host the University of Johannesburg at Chiefs Village (KC 2) on Sunday, 18 February (kick-off is at 15:00). Amakhosi drew 2-2 in the away match earlier in the season.
“It’s going to be tough,” says Under-19s coach Sundra Govinder, “it promises to be a very competitive and close encounter. But we are optimistic that we will get the outcome we want.”
