2014/15 PSL Season kicks-off with MTN8

The 2014/15 PSL season will kick off this weekend with the 2014 MTN8 Quarter-final features. The eight teams taking part in the 2014 MTN8 include last year’s champions Platinum Stars and finalists Orlando Pirates. The Glamour Boys will go into Sunday’s encounter against MP Black Aces as last year’s semi-finalists where they lost to Orlando Pirates 2-1 in the two legged affairs.

Corporate Communications Manager Vina Maphosa said, “We are excited to get back to action after two months of rest and preseason preparations. The Team is upbeat and looking forward to kick-off the season with a win this weekend. The supporters have been starved of soccer action in the past two months and we hope to see a good crowd on Sunday, more especially that we start the season at home, at FNB Stadium. Aces broke our hearts last season. They beat us in the league with a 90th minute goal at FNB Stadium at a time when we had a chance to defend the league. We are looking forward to turn the tables and march on to the next round at their expense.”

Kaizer Chiefs will play Black Aces in the last quarter-final encounter at the FNB Stadium on Sunday (15h00). Tickets are now on sale at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers countrywide.

They are R40 for adults and R10 for children under the age of 12.
