Siphiwe ‘Shabba’ Tshabalala will play his 300th official game wearing the Kaizer Chiefs jersey against Free State Stars tonight.



The 31-year-old midfielder made his debut for Amakhosi against BidVest Wits on 28 October 2007.



He has since started 275 matches for Chiefs and come on in 24 others. The game against Free State Stars will be his 276th start.



Including the Stars encounter, Tshabalala has played in 233 league matches, 58 cup games and nine African Champions League encounters.



He has scored 44 goals so far.



Tshabalala has played in 27 matches this season, including the Stars clash, scoring three times and providing an amazing 14 assists.



Interestingly, the skilful midfielder also played his 200th official match for Chiefs against his former side, Free State Stars. That was back in the 2013/2014 season. ‘Shabba’ scored in that 2-0 win at Charles Mopeli Stadium and also provided the assist for Siyabonga Nkosi’s goal.



His 100th official game for the Amakhosi came on 10 November 2010 against Santos. Chiefs lost that match 1-0.
