Ace Khuse has emphasised the importance of keeping the momentum when the Glamour Boys travel to Free State Stars to honour a tricky meeting with the ever improving, Free State Stars team under the tutelage of Steve Komphela.
Kick-off for the potential thrilling encounter is at 15:00.
“It is very important for us not to make many mistakes as we did the last time the two sides met,” said Khuse referring to the Nedbank Cup quarter final clash where Stars knocked out Amakhosi in a closely contested match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium last month.
It was Ace Khuse’s first game as a Coach of Kaizer Chiefs having taken over the reins from the previous Coach two days before the encounter.
“We studied closely what transpired in that game and everyone is looking forward to the game come Saturday.
“The game gives us a second chance to test our potential against one of the dangerous sides in the league at the moment. Our focus though is not on Stars but what we have to do. It is important for us to keep the momentum and climb the league table.
“I am happy with the preparations for the game despite losing Lucky Baloyi through suspension and Abia Nale who is out with an ankle injury.”
Coming back for this game is Sthembiso Ngcobo. “We are glad to have Sthembiso (Ngcobo) back for the trip to QwaQwa. He will be in the starting line-up. He has improved tremendously in the past couple of weeks and we are happy with his work rate in training.”
The Glamour Boys who have collected six points in their last two league games remain on 6th spot in the Absa Premiership with 46 points with two games remaining.
