Enthusiastic internet junkies from all corners of the country started arriving at Bez Park as early as 09:30 for this historic moment and to witness another first in the history of Kaizer Chiefs. Amakhosi supporters who generally interact through the chatboard also got to know each other. The Mother City was also well represented.

The new baby will be known as Acer Kaizer Chiefs Cyber Branch after the computer giants stepped in as branch sponsors. Acer also sponsors the CB team that is currently campaigning in the corporate league.

Acer marketing and communications executive Stella Helwick said she was thrilled to be associated with this new initiative while the CB executive said it was a dream come true to see the branch being official recognised by the club.

Once the branch was declared official with the current executive as it appears on the site, the supporters were converged in the marques to watch a live game between Amakhosi and Besiktas in the Peace Cup in South Korea courtesy of DSTV.
