Matches between Kaizer Chiefs and the University of Pretoria are always tense affairs and fan favourites. This won’t be any different on Wednesday, 23 September, when the two sides meet in an Absa Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium (kick-off is at 19:30).
Amakhosi failed to keep the MTN8 trophy for another year, losing out to Ajax Cape Town in the final, and will look at this fixture to restore some pride. Tuks, however, are no pushovers, despite presently occupying the second position from the bottom at the league log (three points from four games).
Chiefs have booked eight points after four outings with two wins and two draws. Amakhosi are just one point behind early pace setters Ajax Cape Town and Bidvest Wits on the Absa Premiership log.
The match against the University of Pretoria will take place on the eve of Heritage Day, which is a South African public holiday.
Wednesday evening’s clash will be at the FNB Stadium. We encourage our supporters to attend the match in large numbers, because this is our home match and the visitors must be overwhelmed by the Gold and Black filling the stands.
Tickets are sold at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide at a cost of R40.
