Ernst Middendorp has once again shuffled his pack around as The Amakhosi go in search of their first victory of the season against Bidvest Wits University on Wednesday evening, as the Chiefs coach as made three changes to his starting eleven from the team that played out a goalless draw with Ajax Cape Town on the weekend. The coach has made it clear that he will settle for nothing less than a victory and has opted for a very attack minded formation, as he sticks with his front pairing of Kaizer Motaung Junior and the experienced Shaun Bartlett.

Cyril Nzama makes a welcome return in the defence in place of Jimmy Tau who will start from the bench against the students after starting in Chiefs opening three matches of the new season. Nzama who was taken off mid way through the first half last Wednesday against Jomo Cosmos and than resigned to the substitutes bench for the draw with Ajax Cape Town, has fought his back into the starting line up.

Making his first start of the new season after coming on as a substitute in Chiefs previous three outings in the PSL this term, is crowd favourite midfield play maker Emmanuel Ngobese. A lot is expected of the highly gifted midfielder, Ngobese’s task will be to keep together a midfield that will also be marshalled by the fast improving Tinashe Nengomasha and the very lethal Siyabonga Nkosi.

Wits University coach Boebie Solomon’s has made three changes to his side from the team that started in the 1-0 defeat at the hands of defending PSL Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday. Former SuperSport United striker Abram Raselemane is replaced by former Orlando Pirates youth player Boitumelo Moleyane.
