Kaizer Chiefs look set to take on Limpopo outfit with full force this weekend in the next round of the prestigious Nedbank Cup to gain entry into the Cup competition’s quarter finals.

The Head Coach, Tinashe Nengomashe and Lehlohonolo Majoro represented the Club at a Press Conference held at the PSL offices today. The Senior Team arrived shortly before from their Durban trip to start preparations for their weekend Cup clash in Polokwane.

Captain, Tinashe Nengomashe, emphasized how important the fixture is to the Glamour Boys: “It is a very important game and to make the fans and supporters happy, we must win the Cup. The most important thing is not to underestimate our opponents.”

Speaking to members of ‘the third estate’, the Head Coach gave an injury update during which he mentioned his concern with regards to serious injuries experienced on the playing field and the measures put in place to handle them. “South Africa should be one step ahead of other African countries, I would like to thank our Team Doctor and our Physiotherapist for being present and assisting as they did last night,” he added.

‘VV’ also stated that Lucky Khune and Thomas Sweswe would not be available for selection for the weekend’s fixture. Other updates include news that Siphiwe Tshabalala and Willard Katsande had served their suspensions.

The clash will take place at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on the 31st March at 20:15. Amakhosi will host Leopards in a home game on the 3rd April at Soccer City just two days later where the Mighty Amakhosi will look to bag three points in their quest to reach the PSL summit as Champions.

Tickets for both fixtures are on sale at Computicket.
