Kaizer Chiefs has adopted the St Benedictine Hospital children’s ward in KwaNongoma in a move that will see Amakhosi the hospital in fundraising drives.

"Earlier this year we visited St Benedictine Hospital and realised that their children’s ward need a lot of assistance, especially as they have children suffering from HIV/AIDS,” says Chiefs PR manager Putco Mafani.

“We them proposed to management that we should perhaps adopt the children’s ward as one of our social responsibility projects.”

"We recently submitted them to the NSL Charity Trust as our official charity beneficiaries. Our business partners Milo and Iwisa have also been generous in donating products this hospital," Mafani says. "The club intends embracing them this season as we did with Takalani Home for the mentally disabled."
