The Amakhosi Festive Vibe campaign kicked off in style at Jabulani Mall in Soweto on Saturday, 26 November 2011.

The Festive Vibe launched on Tuesday by Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung who was in attendance in Jabulani saw the Amakhosi faithful coming out in numbers in support of a campaign for festive season to the give the Club an opportunity to connect with supporters until the end of the year.

Branches from as far as Tembisa, Germiston, Sasolburg, Evaton and Motlana (which includes Moletsane, Naledi, Mapetla and Phiri in Soweto) were all in attendance in support of the initiative.

The crowed in attendance were thrilled by performances from JR Dance Academy, Tshepo Manyisa (Musician), Movers & Shakers and Best Youth Club.

Joint MC’s Klaas Mokoena and Vuyo Nyusela kept the enthusiastic crowd in stitches with their sense of humor. It was a day not only filled with entertainment but supporters walked away with goodies from the Club.

Secretary of Tembisa Branch, Kedibone Sihlangu (33) speaking to kaizerchiefs.com congratulated the Club on such a wonderful initiative; “We did not think twice as the branch in support of this initiative; Amakhosi Festive Vibe.

The response from not only people from Soweto is massive and the Club needs to be congratulated for such initiative,” he said.

“This initiative gave us an opportunity as a branch to interact with our counterparts. I am already excited about the upcoming Roadshows in Pretoria and in Durban during the course of next month.

Retail Manager, Emmanuel Khumalo who had brought the entire Retail Team was delighted of the opportunity to interact with the supporters through this campaign.

“It is festive time and you can see the way people are supporting us in purchasing our merchandise. We have been discouraging people from buying our products on the streets and here today the fans got to buy jerseys printed the names of their favourite players on the back. This was long overdue and the fans are happy buying these jerseys.

“The jerseys for the likes of Letsholonyane, Tshabalala, Tau, and Khune are in demand. We have printed jerseys with the names for all the players and the fans have been calling us and coming in to the Kaizer Chiefs Store at the Village to buy these jerseys.

We also have a team from Hollard and both the funeral plan and hospital plan has become very popular with the supporters. We continue to register membership and to raise awareness on counterfeit.

Overall the activation in Soweto was a resounding success and thank you to all the fans that came through to support this wonderful initiative,” added Khumalo.

The next activation will take place on Thursday, 01 December 2011 in Danneboom, Pretoria from 11:00 – 16:00 while on the same day the Club will be activating in Sammy Marks Square also in Pretoria from 12:00-17:00.
