Kaizer Chiefs’ penultimate game of the 2023-24 season will be a six-pointer against Polokwane City, as the two teams desperately want to finish in the top 8 when the campaign comes to a close next weekend.
The crucial match will be Kaizer Chiefs’ 15th and last home match of the current season. Howeer, the team have one more match after that, away in Cape Town on 25 May against Cape Town Spurs.
Amakhosi and City are are tied on 35 points, and only separated by goal difference after 28 matches. Chiefs are 8th followed by City in 9th position.
Coach Cavin Johnson will be a relieved man as Given Msimango returns from his two-game suspension. He will, however, still be without several players who are still out with injuries and suspension - including George Matlou, Edmilson Dove, Keagan Dolly, Brandon Petersen and Tebogo Potsane.
