Kaizer Chiefs U-13 and U-17 teams played hosts to their counterparts from Orlando Pirates at the Kaizer Chiefs Village in Naturena on Tuesday afternoon. Like it was when they clashed three days before in Randburg over the past weekend, the teams could not be separated as both games ended in draws. The Chiefs U-13 team’s game ended 1-1 while the U-17s were involved in a hard-fought battle which ended 2-2.

Kaizer Chiefs 1 (Bobo 46’)
Orlando Pirates 1 (Njomane 38’)
Unlike their encounter over the weekend which saw four goals being scored in the first half, this time out the game was a quieter affair with neither team able to score in the opening 30 minutes. The game came to life in the second half with Andile Njomane scoring eight minutes after the restart to put the visitors in front. Chiefs fought back and were level eight minutes later when Sima Bobo headed the ball home from a corner to level matters as the game ended 1-1.

Kaizer Chiefs 2 (Tsotetsi 2’, Jansen 65’)
Orlando Pirates 2 (Reddy 1’ pen, 9’)
It was a frantic start to the game with two goals in the opening two minutes. Chiefs U-17s found themselves a goal down in the opening minute of the game when they conceded a penalty. Darian Reddy stepped up and converted to hand the visitors the lead. Chiefs hit back immediately from the restart with Leronthi Tsotetsi shooting Chiefs level with a powerful shot from the left which rocketed past the keeper into the net. Again, Reddy put Pirates 2-1 up in the ninth minute. Chiefs then battled their way back into the game with Donay Jansen scoring a good goal with a shot from a tight angle on the right, after he had been fed into space and he cut in from the right flank. The game ending 2-2.
Chiefs U-15s will face Orlando Pirates at the Chiefs village in Naturena on Wednesday afternoon with kick-off at 16h30.
All four Chiefs junior teams will host SuperSport United on Saturday in Naturena.
