Amakhosi duo, George Maluleka and goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse took some time off on Thursday afternoon to shoot some hoops with Miami Heat's two-time NBA All Star small forward, Luol Deng at the American International School of Johannesburg.

Deng is in South Africa as part of the NBA Basketball Without Borders development camp which kicked off on Wednesday and led up to the NBA’s first game in Africa which took place on Saturday, 1 August, featuring a Team Africa vs. Team World format.

In a light-hearted meeting between top professional sportsmen, Team Africa’s captain, Deng impressed his Kaizer Chiefs counterparts with his footballing skills, kicking the soccer ball around and doing some tricks, while Pieterse and Maluleka showed their dribbling, shooting and layups skills to Deng on the basketball court.

At the end of the session, Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung presented Deng with the Club’s new home and away jerseys. The NBA star reciprocated with a pair of personalised Miami Heat jerseys.
