Kaizer Chiefs Public Relations Manager, Siyabulela Makunga told kaizerchiefs.com that these initiatives together with Club’s main sponsor, Vodacom is part of taking the Club to the people and reconnecting with the supporters.
“We have embarked on a massive project to take the Club back to its roots, the people. We started in Atteridgville on the 14th February; we went to Dlamini for the anniversary celebration of the Amakhosi Supporters Club which turned out to be a resounding success with branches from as far as KZN in attendance.
We will now wow our fans in the Tshwane University of Technology (Garankuwa and Pretoria campuses), MEDUNSA before returning to Attridgeville” he said.
Makunga added that the crew will be accompanied by Artists, Djs, Kaizer Chiefs celebrities. Supporters and fans stand to win lucrative prizes and hampers at the road shows.
“We continue to give back to the Amakhosi faithful as a gesture to show appreciation of the support we continue to enjoy, thanks to our sponsor Vodacom who will be splashing out prizes inclusive of cell phone hampers to the lucky ones who will attend the road-shows.
The team has been playing some of the games at Super Stadium lately and I would like to once again pay tribute to our supporters who have come in numbers rallying behind the boys at this crucial stage of the season.
We are playing against Bidvest Wits University at the same stadium that has turned “our home of victory” on Saturday night. We are glad that all the sections of the stadium have now been opened, and all we need to do is go all out and fill it” he added.
