Chiefs began working with the Khomanani project prior to the Soweto Derby on the 29th October and with World Aids Day on the horizon and the sixteen days of activism under way Chiefs have stepped up their efforts in the campaign.
The commercial featuring the players will be flighted from Worlds Aids Day on the 1st of December and will run until the end of the month. Do look out for this commercial which contains many important messages on HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention.
During the shooting of the commercial - players also gave their pledges in whatever way they will be lending a hand to help make more people aware of this scourge, and help further the education process on the disease which is daily mowing down the size of the countries population.
The Amakhosi began their aids awareness programme as World Aids day draws near on the 1st of December in earnest at Sunday’s game against SuperSport United. The Chiefs players firstly took to the field wearing red bootlaces to honour world Aids day and also had the red aids awareness ribbon emblazoned on their jersey. Chiefs message to all supports is save sex or else practise safe sex.
