Amakhosi midfielder Mandla Masango has told kaizerchiefs.com that the team have put behind them the disappointment of losing their Absa Premiership encounter on Friday evening to Ajax Cape Town and are fully focused on picking up three points when they host Amazulu in their next league outing on Wednesday.

“We cannot dwell too much on what happened against Ajax just, we have though worked on what we need to better against Amazulu” explained Masango before going on to further elaborate by saying.

“We really well focused on our next match we have many more games to play take this week and still remaining in January. For us at the moment it is really a matter of taking it one game at a time, we invested a lot on the training ground on Sunday and will do the same on Monday and Tuesday. We are only at the moment focused on winning our next game.”

Masango is backing the Amakhosi to rebound from their loss to Ajax and believes that they will put up a spirited performance against Amazulu on Wednesday evening as he said.

“It is obvious to us that we need to quickly bounce back we have the ability to do just that especially when we under pressure, there are many players in this squad who are able to lift the team by putting up a good showing on Wednesday.

I believe that we will put up a good overall team performance. We also boosted by having some guys coming back from suspensions and hopefully that will help us as well.”

Masango is also aware that Usuthu will come hard at Chiefs and they are not expecting the game to be an easy one, “the game will be tough we know that we need to be cautious and we need to also focus on getting our own plays right and just put up a polished performance all round.”

Masango ‘s last four league appearances for Chiefs have all been as a substitute as he explained to kaizerchiefs.com he has no qualms about coming into a game to help change the circumstance of the match if that is the job he is required to do.

In concluding his discussion with kaizerchiefs.com he added “any role that is given to me I will fulfil any chance that to play whether it be as starting role or as a substitute I must give it my best, as long as I play to get the team to fulfil their ambition I will be happy.”
