The Amakhosi might have won silverware this season but midfielder Abia Nale believes that the team possess the hunger and desire to add to their Telkom Knockout Cup success when they resume with their league and Nedbank Cup fixtures next year.

Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com Nale looking ahead to the New Year said, “for us there might not be any games right now but nothing has changed we are an ambitious team and want to achieve a lot still this season.”

According to Nale who has appeared in nine of Chiefs twelve league fixtures this season starting seven games and appearing in two more as a substitute as well as contributing with two goals.

In order for the Amakhosi to fulfill their ambitions and the targets they have set this season it is going to take a lot of effort on their part, he does believe that he and his team mates are ready to do the necessary ground work.

“In my view it is a good thing that we continued training while the league is in recess, the more we put in and the harder we work the more dangerous we will be when we start playing games again in January.”

The 24 year old Nale who Joined Chiefs just under two years ago is also looking to step up his game on a personal level and will be hoping to do so when the Amakhosi play their first game of 2011 against Mamelodi Sundowns.

The same team that he made his Chiefs debut against in January 2009 soon after he had joined the club, “if I look back at the first few months of the season and analyse my own performances I will say that I know that I can do better and also more of the team.

Hopefully I can play my part and help the team kick on in January, we have won two games in a row and we all would like to give our best and hopefully we can carry on in the same way.”
