Kaizer Chiefs will turn their attention to the Nedbank Cup Last 16 when they host first division side Stellenbosch FC this weekend.
The match is scheduled to take place at the Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 10 March (kick-off is at 20:15).
The Glamour Boys are raring to reach the quarterfinal stage at the expense of the Steve Barker coached Stellenbosch side from the Western Cape.
Chiefs and Stellenbosch will both want to put the past weekend behind them, with Amakhosi succumbing to a 3-1 loss to arch-rivals Orlando Pirates, while Real Kings beat Stellenbosch in their first division fixture.
Last season, Joseph Molangoane, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Gustavo Páez all scored to beat Stellenbosch 3-0 in the Last 32 of this same cup competition. As for Stellenbosch, their coach Steve Barker will have sweet memories of tasting victory against Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup back in 2009, guiding the University of Pretoria to the quarterfinals in a seven-goal thriller - 4-3 was the scoreline.
KwaZulu-Natal and travelling supporters will welcome this fixture in Durban after Chiefs last played a home match there on 16 December 2017, beating Ajax Cape Town 1-0 in a league fixture.
All roads lead to Moses Mabhida Stadium this weekend. Tickets are sold at TicketPro (including CNA, Edgars, Jet Mart, Postnet) for R15.00 children and R60.00 for adults.
