Kaizer Chiefs will have back-to-back home fixtures next week, the first home games since the Absa Premiership resumed on 11 February. The Glamour Boys welcome Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday evening, 4 March (kick-off at 19:30). The Derby against arch-rivals Orlando Pirates will follow on Saturday, 7 March (kick-off at 15:30). Both matches will be played at the FNB Stadium.

The Club calls on their supporters to rally behind the team for these two homes games.

“It’s crunch time,” Kaizer Chiefs Corporate Communications Manager Vina Maphosa stresses. “We are going for a home run with ten games to go. These two home fixtures will have an impact in our title aspirations.”

Despite going to Botswana’s Township Rollers with a narrow 2-1 lead into the second leg of the CAF Champions League this weekend. Chiefs had a bit of a slow restart in the Absa Premiership.

“The results of the last two league matches are water under the bridge,” insists Maphosa. “We take each match as it comes.”

Chiefs will also go in the Nedbank Cup Last 16 Draw this Thursday after demolishing SAB League campaigners Edu Sports this past weekend.

“The match against Ajax is a teaser ahead of the Derby,” concludes Maphosa. “It is imperative to have a house full of supporters for both games.”

Ajax are far from pushovers and they have become a handful ever since Roger de Sa took over the coaching reigns.

Tickets for the two matches are sold at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide. Tickets for Ajax game cost R40 for adults and R10 for children Under-12. The Derby ticket costs R60 to R150 depending on the selection of the seating area.
