“Sherriff” as the player is affectionately known from the supporters made his debut in the first round of the Nedbank Cup against Nathi Lions.
Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday afternoon he revealed that he was pleased with his progress in the first team and is already looking forward to next season.
“I was aware that it will not be easy adjusting to the first team after I was promoted to the development via Soweto Panthers who campaigned in the Vodacom League. The Technical Team, including my teammates, were very supportive and I am grateful to them for that. I am pleased with my progress and I want to improve,” said the player who is a product of Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development.
“I have already joined some of my teammates who were called in to report early for the preseason at Naturena. I would like to feature in more games this season. It is also my ambition to break into the U23 squad. It has been inspiring to watch my teammate Mandla Masango doing so well in the team. I do know that through hard work anything is possible,” added Baloyi.
