Newly appointed Head Coach, Stuart Baxter took time on Tuesday morning to address the Technical Team and the players for the first time following his appointment as a Coach starting next season.
Baxter, who has a wealth of experience having worked extensively in Europe was flanked by Executive Chairman, Kaizer Motaung and Football Manager, Bobby Motaung as he had a few words with the players.
Earlier on he had met the entire Technical Team led by Donald ‘Ace’ Khuse; “I do not have much to say today - all I can say is that this football Club must get better and play effective football,” he said emphasising that the Club will continue to play with ‘flair’ and ‘African style’.
“It is my intention to bring the best in you and make you the best you can be. I want us to work together in bringing back trophies to this Club.
“I am honoured to be here and looking forward to working with you,” said the Baxter.
Captain, Itumeleng Khune welcomed the Coach speaking on behalf of the players; “We would like to welcome you, Coach to the Club and as players we are all excited and looking forward to working with you.
Arthur Zwane who worked with Baxter at Bafana Bafana in 2004-2005 welcomed the Club’s decision to bring the knowledgeable mentor; “I am delighted to unite with the Coach. He is the kind of a Coach that always tries to bring out the best in his players. I have no doubt that he will succeed here.
Baxter will be in in Polokwane on Wednesday to watch the team take on Ajax Cape Town at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
