Head Coach, Stuart Baxter is relishing the chance to meet Golden Arrows in what promises to be a thrilling Absa Premiership encounter billed for 19H30 kickoff at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday, 06 November 2012.
The Glamour Boys who are still on top of the Absa Premiership will be hoping to return back to winning ways against a seemingly rejuvenated side following Manqoba Mngqithi taking over the coaching reigns two weeks ago.
“They now play football,” remarked Stuart Baxter speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Monday morning.
“Changing coaches can sometimes work and sometimes not and it seem to have worked for them.
“They are a very good team and rely on a few individuals to give a good performance. They work hard and if their individual players come out and they work hard they can be a threat.
“However, we are all looking forward to the game, our first this season at Peter Mokaba Stadium. The player’s attitude at training has been amazing. We want to return back to winning ways. It is a tough week with SuperSport United coming up over the weekend but we are 100% focused on Golden Arrows now.
If Kaizer Chiefs win this encounter it will be 250th victory for the Amakhosi; “Statistics are nice for the fans but winning is more important for me. Results for each game are more important.
“We are not going to give it our all because we want the 250th win, to us every game deserves more attention and we are approaching the game against Arrows with a mentality to do well. I would be worried if the players can give more effort in this game because of the statistics involved.
Tickets for the much anticipated game are selling fast and fans are advised to get to the nearest Computicket and Shoprite Checkers to avoid disappointment. Adults’ tickets are selling for R40 and for Juveniles, accompanied by adults, will be sold at the stadium at R10.
