Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter scooped the final Absa Premiership monthly awards by claiming the Coach of the Month for April and May 2015.
The statement provided by the PSL mentioned the following reason for the Amakhosi coach winning the award:
“Baxter's team, who were consistent throughout the 2014/2015 campaign, picked up another four wins and conceded only one goal as they went unbeaten during the latest voting period (this was before their loss to Bidvest Wits last night).”
“This was Baxter second individual accolade in this category. He led his charges to a record breaking 2014/15 Absa Premiership title.”
“This is something nice to have,” reacted Baxter after receiving the Coach of the Month award with a smile on his face. “Winning games and winning the league are, however, must haves.”
About the upcoming PSL Player of the Season awards, the Chiefs coach mentioned: “There are a number of our players who should be in contention to win this award.”
The Kaizer Chiefs mentor walked away with a cheque for R5 000 from the league sponsor Absa.
