Yende’s enthusiasm has a lot to do with the fact that Chiefs coach Vladimir Vermezovic has shown faith in him and given him the opportunity to feature prominently for the team in the build up to the new season.
As he commented to kaizerchiefs.com saying, “it has really made a big difference to my over all confidence and morale that the coach has backed me and advised me the way he did during the pre-season. It is up to me to get out there and repay so to say the faith the coach has had in me and do whatever I can to see that we have a good season”.
Yende who joined The Amakhosi at the start of last season believes that he can play a part in Chiefs push for the title this coming season, “Yes I do feel that I can deliver the kind of performances that the coach wants from us, my aim in the coming season is to work towards being a vital player for the team.”
With the new season just days from its start Yende revealed that he cannot wait for the opening game saying, “with the way things have gone in the pre-season and the work we have done with the coach I am really positive about the new season. I am looking forward to it and the first game cannot come soon enough.”
The 26 year old has been is in great physical shape ahead of the new campaign and in addition he has been hard at work improving his overall play and it shown in his recent performances, “I am an attacking player and enjoy a forward role but I have worked on all aspects of my game. In order to become a better all round player I had to improve on my ability to back track and I think with hard work I have managed to improve areas of my game which might not have been my strong points”.
