Goalkeeper Coach Rainer Dinkelacker believes that Brilliant Khuzwayo can be a ‘top class’ goalkeeper just like Itumeleng Khune and Arthur Bartman.

Khuzwayo joined the Glamour Boys in June immediately after First Division play-offs where he was playing for Thanda Royal Zulu (on loan from AmaZulu). He joined the team for preseason camp where he worked with the highly rated goalkeeper coach Rainer Dinkelacker.

“Brilliant has been coming up well and I am pleased with his progress,” said the German born speaking to kaizerchiefs.com at Virgin Active where the team was having a recovery session on Tuesday morning after the arduous away game in Qwaqwa during the past weekend.

“I keep talking to him; he is a great talent. I remember when we were at camp he came to me; “Coach I think now I am doing goalkeeper training”. He was excited with our training methods. He has all what it takes to be a top goalkeeper and we will work with him to ensure that he reaches his potential.

“I see week by week he is progressing nicely. I have also told him to be patient but ready to take over any time one of the two goalkeepers (Itumeleng Khune or Arthur Bartman) are not available. He has shown good attitude so far in training.

“He needs to be in a top physical shape and be strong mentally. He is for instance not yet comfortable dealing with one on one situation but it is a normal process. I have no doubt he will be a top class goalkeeper for both Club and country,” added Dinkelacker.
