The team is currently in Port Elizabeth for the Vodacom Challenge battle against rivals Orlando Pirates at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Thursday evening. The winner of this match will play English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in the Vodacom Challenge final on Saturday.
Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com Jessica revealed that besides the game on Thursday there would be other activities lined up that include Corporate Social Responsibility and Roadshows for the team to leave a lasting presence to the people of the Eastern Cape.
“The trip to Port Elizabeth gives us an opportunity as the Club to interact with our fan base here in the Eastern Cape. A lot has happened since the last time we were here back in 2009 including the launching of our new jersey a couple of weeks ago.
“In partnership with Vodacom we will be having a Roadshow where we will be driving membership, new registrations, renewals but most importantly engaging our fans on issues related to governance and counterfeit,” revealed Jessica.
The Roadshow is to be held KwaDaku (Spar Supermarket precinct) from 10:00-16:00.
Jessica further revealed that the team will attend a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSI) program at Erica House Combined School in Hillside in the afternoon.
“We thought it would be good for us to embark on this program on the week that we celebrate a birthday of an icon, Dr. Nelson Mandela. CSI is very close to our heart and the team despite their busy schedule will spare a moment to spend time with the kids at Erica Combined School,” said Jessica.
Then still on Wednesday, there will be a meeting with Supporters at Garden Court, Kings Beach starting at 18:00.
