Bruce Bvuma will be between the posts for Kaizer Chiefs in this evening’s Absa Premiership fixture against Bloemfontein Celtic, replacing the injured Itumeleng Khune.
The young goalkeeper made his debut for the Glamour Boys against Cape Town City on 25 April 2017. The 23-year-old also featured in the next game four days later against SuperSport United.
Since, Bvuma hasn’t kept goal for Amakhosi in an official game, although he did well in last season’s MultiChoice Diski Challenge matches.
Khune is nursing a bruised forearm. He is expected to be back in full training on Friday.
Coach Giovanni Solinas has also decided to give Khotso Malope an opportunity to get game time. The 24-year-old midfielder made last season his debut in the Gold & Black against Maritzburg United. The Absa Premiership fixture took place on 20 September 2017.
The Chiefs coach otherwise decided to start with the same players who performed so well against SuperSport United in the first leg of the MTN8 semi-final on Sunday.
Amakhosi will face Phunya Sele Sele in a league match at FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening, 29 August 2018 (kick-off is at 19:30).
