“The camp was good and we met all aspects of what we intended,” Kaizer Chiefs Coach Stuart Baxter gives feedback following the Amakhosi returning from Stellenbosch on Monday morning.

The Team was in Cape Town from the 27th January to 2nd February, where they held their midseason-break camp ahead of the PSL programme resuming next week.

“The weather was good,” continued Baxter. “The facilities were conducive for good preparation. The fields and accommodation were all favourable for hard work.”

“The players worked very hard and are now looking forward to the restart of the league programme,” adds Baxter.

The Team engaged in two practice matches on Saturday, 31 January. Chiefs played NFD sides Cape Town Stars and Milano United. “We played two games. We split the Team in two to afford every player 90 minutes of action.”

“We are left with bringing everybody up to speed when the Bafana Bafana players reunite with us tomorrow,” concluded Baxter.

Kaizer Chiefs will resume their league programme by travelling to Free State Stadium to play against Bloemfontein Celtic. The match is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 11th February; kickoff is at 19:30.
