The Zimbabwean international feels that anything other than a convincing during Wednesday’s resumption match win will be seen as a let down to the Amakhosi, taking into account the complete and thorough preparations Chiefs have made for the resumption of league fixtures since the 5th January. Resuming league duties with three points is high on the list of priorities for Bhasera who at the moment is optimistic that the a lot of positives will come out of the next four months of league competition.
Fresh Start
With the PSL being inactive for over seven weeks it has given teams the opportunity to iron out the areas of their game which we left wanting in their earlier rounds of competition, and Bhasera believes that despite Thanda currently sitting in 13th place on the league they will not be easy pickings on Wednesday evening. Bhasera commenting on them match said “this break has been a lengthy one which has meant that teams have been able to find solutions to their problems and have been working on them since early January. This is now a fresh start for every one us Thanda all the teams, injured players have had time to come back to fitness and players have moved around, clubs have added to new players to their rosters and strengthened themselves. I believe the second round of fixtures and the next four months of league competition will be more intense and exciting than the previous 5 months of the season have been”.
Goals on the mind
Despite all the talk of The Amakhosi going to be up against it on Wednesday Bhasera feels that he and his teammates need to have the self-belief that they can win every match, and have developed in that department through the break. Bhasera added “we have developed a strong sense of mental toughness, added to the physical preparation we did through January and February the guys have a winning mindset. Our thoughts going into every match is not just be about winning the game, we are focused on winning comfortably and convincingly”.
