She will be serving two months notice and will be with the club until March 31, 2005.
In a statement made on Friday (February 4, 2005) club chairman Kaizer Motaung said he was very sad to lose one of the managers in the club’s stable that has contributed towards the continued growth of the brand.
“We were shocked when Vivi (Casaletti) approached us with these developments," said the chairman. "If I could, I would refuse to let her go but I respect Vivi’s personal ambitions and take this opportunity to thank her unconditionally for all her contribution, her sacrifices and her undivided loyalty in everything she has done for the club.
"Her contributions and the value she has added will not be forgotten. We wish her all the best, trusting she will succeed in whatever she does,” added Motaung.
Casaletti was introduced to Chiefs in 1999 by her elder sister Emy Casaletti, who also served Amakhosi with distinction.
Since joining the club six years ago, Vivian has enjoyed much success both on the field and off the field and will be missed for the role she played in the Peace Cup 2003 in South Korea, the International SoccerEx Football Exhibition 2003 and 2004 as well as the role she played in managing sponsor relations at the club amongst her other roles and responsibilities.
In her response Casaletti said: “I want to thank in particular Kaizer (Motaung) for the opportunity he has given me and for believing and entrusting me with the brand he has so successfully founded and developed.
"I have been honoured and blessed with the opportunity of working for one of the biggest global brands and for one of the most amazing and respectable men in the country, he is a true inspiration and leader.
